36 Battery Place NYC (Corner of Battery Place & First Place)
PRIVATE TRANSPORTATION
From the East Side, take the FDR Drive to the Battery Park City exit and follow the signs to Battery Park. At the intersection of State Street, Battery Place, and Broadway, turn left on to Battery Place. The Museum is on your left, just past Robert Wagner Park.
From the West Side, take the Westside Highway (also Route 9A) to West Street and Battery Place. Turn right on to Battery Place. The Museum is on your left, just past Robert Wagner Park.
From New Jersey, take the Holland Tunnel to Route 9A to West Street and Battery Place. Turn right on to Battery Place. The Museum is on your left, just past Robert Wagner Park.
There is no parking at the Museum. There are two parking garages nearby:
50 Battery Place (the entrance is on Second Place, one block north of the Museum).
The Cove Club (the entrance is on Third Place, two blocks north of the Museum).
GGMC Lots offer Museum guests a $3 discount.
SUBWAY
4/5 to Bowing Green or W/R to Whitehall.
Walk west on Battery Place toward the Hudson River, along the northern perimeter of Battery Park, past Robert Wagner Park. The Museum will be on your left overlooking New York Harbor.
1/9 to South Ferry
Walk north along State Street. Battery Park will be on your left. At the corner of Battery Place and State Street, turn left on to Battery Place and walk west toward the Hudson River, along the northern perimeter of Battery Park, past Robert Wagner Park. The Museum will be on your left overlooking New York Harbor.
1/9 to Rector
You will exit on Greenwich Street.
Walk south, there will be a parking lot on your right side. Walk through the parking lot and cross over the West Side Highway. Go straight (You will be on Thames Street) Make a left on Battery Place. Continue walking South until you hit 36 Battery Place on your right side.
BUS
The M9 stops directly in front of the Museum. The M1, M6, and M15 stop at South Ferry. Follow subway directions from South Ferry above.
