Soul to Soul is an innovative concert that explores the intersections between African-American and Yiddish folk music traditions. Conceived and directed by Zalmen Mlotek, the internationally recognized authority on Yiddish folk and theatre music, Soul to Soul features some of the most exciting performers on the New York stage. Headlining the concert are Magda Fishman, Cantor at Temple Beth Am in Los Angeles; Elmore James, a veteran of five Broadway and numerous international opera productions; and singer, songwriter and recording artist, Tony Perry, who originated a role in the Folksbiene’s premiere production of Murray Schisgal’s “Shpiel!
